About The Book
The Book of Romans is the Apostle Paul’s magna carta—a profound and detailed examination of God’s righteousness, written for both unbelievers and believers.
For the unbeliever, Romans makes it clear:
God requires a righteousness equal to His own.
Humanity does not possess this righteousness.
No one can achieve it through personal effort.
God has provided it through the gospel—through the person and finished work of Jesus Christ.
The only response is to trust fully in God’s solution for our lack of righteousness.
For the believer, Romans reveals God’s ongoing desire:
Righteous living is to be displayed in and through our mortal bodies.
We cannot produce this righteousness by our own strength.
God has provided the necessary resources through the indwelling Holy Spirit.
We must learn to rely on what God has already accomplished to live a righteous life.
