This morning we continue a larger section of the Sermon on the Mount where Jesus describes what TRUE righteousness looks like from God’s perspective. This was very important to clarify since the religious leaders of Jesus' day misinterpreted this AND their misinterpretations had become the mainstream thought of Judaism. These misinterpretations were costing Jews potential entrance into the Kingdom of Heaven. The next two areas of clarification involved divorce and remarriage and the making and breaking of oaths.
